The film is a story of an experiment in which several people took part to change their outlook on life. The participants are middle-class people, students, and celebrities. The aim is to live like the homeless for a few days. They beg, sift through trash, sleep in alleys and fight to live another day. This experiment in urban survival is organised by Jerzy Czapla, a manager that runs a homless shelter in Łódź. The participants had to pay to be part of the experiment, which helped to raise money for the shelter's renovation.
